Ethan's 3rd Birthday

Ethan's birthday was a bit more than 2 weeks ago and I still haven't blogged about it!  Life gets in the way but I'm taking a few minutes now to document his big day here.

We celebrated his birthday with family a week before, as it was easier to do than during the first week of school.

He ran around through the dining room yelling "it's my birthday!" over and over.  I shared the video on Facebook as I can't seem to share it on my blog.  It's so cute.  He was so excited!!

Presents first.  He got this shirt: I don't do quiet.  Sooo true. 

He also got a play-doh backpack from us and a little red wagon and some tools.  All things this little 3 year old loves.  And his party hat stayed on the whole day!

Some cupcakes for his morning visitors.  Quick and easy, with tractors, of course.

A pizza lunch - one of his favourites!

He picked out his own cake on Google.  This was the one he insisted on and that was the one mommy made.  Another relatively easy one (compared to previous birthday cakes).  He watched the while process and really wanted to play with the tractor and wagon but I told him he had to wait till after he blew out his candles.

And as soon as he blew out his candles, he did drive his tractor on the graham cracker path.  I think this picture perfectly says that he can't wait to dig in!

The tradition of the laundry basket pics continued too.  I don't know how much longer he will let me take a picture of him in the blue laundry basket but hopefully long!
