Camping Trip # 2

Our second camping trip we took with Ian's parents and Ian's sister (Ali) and her family.
It was so much fun!
Grandma organized a super fun theme "Christmas in August" and the kids got to decorate a Christmas tree at the campsite and then they waited in anticipation of Santa's arrival the next morning!  We had a red neck supper that evening and it was a ton of fun.

We canoed...Ali and Grandpa and Idalee and Megan in one canoe.

Ian, I, and our three boys in the other canoe.

Grandma took care of the youngest camper, Dallas.

The afternoon was spent on the beach.

Ali made apple cookies with Idalee which were delicious!

We buried Mason.

He loved it!

So did all the helpers.

What brother doesn't like to bury one of his own?

A hat to complete our funny guy.

Ethan thought his brother was quite brave.

A kiss for Mason. Awwww....

Ok, we will just leave you there, Mason :).

Ya right!

I'm going to try to get out now!

Arms first!

Then my neck!

Try to sit up.

Yes!

Wow, this is harder than I thought!

Yea, almost!

Roll over.

And....

I did it!!!

Mason was so so so dirty at the end of this day we thought it a good idea for him to have a shower at the comfort station.  Um, no.  They had no hot water.  No fun was had.  By anyone.  Especially mom and dad.

Enjoying the sunshine.

Some sunbathing and reading was done...

Hydration...

The beach was quite empty...which was really quite nice.

The kids played on the play structure too.

Idalee.

Mason.

Megan.

Daddy and Ethan at the water.

"I the king of the castle!"

Cute little blonde dude.

Hiya mom!

Contemplating life...

Smiley baby.

What a gorgeous laugh.

Mason.

Another view of the deserted beach.

Beautiful.

Meg.  She can make Dallas laugh so hard! It's so great to see.

I do have pictures of the "Christmas in August" festivities but they are on Ian's phone so I will post them next time.

Upon our arrival back home, the kids were quite tired.  Two camping trips pretty much back-to-back will do that.  Mason had a time-out and I found him like this.

I picked him up and he wanted to stay and watch me make supper.  Then, this happened again.

What a cutie.

Another wonderful camping trip done!
