Arts & Crafts Party - preparations

Megan had a birthday party for 8 of her friends for her 10th birthday.  Add her 3 brothers in the mix and we had a party for 12 kids.  Megan really wanted an arts & crafts party and we had a very fun one.

Our rainbow coloured decorations....or rainbow spider, as Ethan called it.

A photo backdrop made out of dollar store tablecloths.

Paint palette cookies as take home favours.

Crayons prepared to be glued to canvases for melted crayon art.

The craft station set up and ready for 12 kids to do some fun melted crayon art!

Decorating our own cupcakes on painters palettes.

Hair dryer station set up to melt the crayons after gluing them on canvases with low-temp glue guns.

Samples in case the kids needed inspiration.

Ethan's canvas as a sample to show the girls how to do melted crayon art.

A guess & win jar for the kids to guess how many smarties are in the jar.

The party table.

Nail polish roulette.

Pictionary.

Balloons on the mailbox.

With each game the kids played, the winner(s) got to take another guess on the "guess and win jar".  Also, under a certain chair, plate, cup, and canvas was a picture of a painters palette which allowed the finder to take another guess for the jar.

More on the actual party to follow.
