Happy Anniversary, honey!

Ian and I celebrated our 8th anniversary yesterday. Grandma and Grandpa had offered to babysit the day before and we went out on our yearly date on Monday. It seems that we only really go out on a "date" once a year - on our anniversary.

Yesterday, we celebrated with the kids and took them out for supper to a fabulous restaurant. If you're ever near Eganville, Ontario, you HAVE TO try "the Granary". They have awesome schnitzel! And absolutely AWESOME dessert. Ian had the cheesecake and I had the blackforest cake. Sooo delicious. We'll have to go there again soon, instead of waiting a year.

Here a few photos to remember our day, 8 years ago. (We joke that we made it past the "7 year itch"...)

This photo hangs above our fireplace. First photo taken after we said "I do".

Cute shot from behind a tree in a local park.

THE GIRLS!!! We had 5 bridesmaids and 5 flowergirls (two traditions combined). Here are the bridesmaids...
The two standing are Char (a friend) and Petra (my sister and maid-of-honour).
The three sitting are Terri-Ann (a friend...you can find her blog here), Alison (my sister-in-law), and Lisanne (my cousin).

THE MEN! Five groomsmen. From left to right are Greg (a friend), John (a friend), Adam (my brother-in-law), Rick (my brother), and Kris (a friend and Ian's best man). Of course, Ian's the one in the middle.

Ian and our ringbearer, Alexander. He was only 5!

Ian and the flowergirls. On Ian's right is Desiree and on Ian's left is Brittany (his Godchild). Above Ian are (starting on the left) Kalica, Hayleigh, Ashley, and Marloes (my cousin). Kalica, Hayleigh, Ashley, and Desiree are sisters and girls I used to babysit. Ashley also helped me out with my daycare when Mason was born. They're a wonderful family.

Happy Anniversary, honey! And thanks again to all those special people who were part of our special day.
