Christmas Day 2014

Christmas Day....one of the best days of the entire year!

Christmas morning....we normally have early birds but on Christmas morning they truly live up to their name!

We had warm cinnamon rolls for breakfast while we unwrapped presents.  We always take turns and spend time admiring a gift before the next person opens their gift.

This year, we gave the kids our gifts first before they opened Santa's gifts.  One of our gifts for the kids was (crocheted) hats.  They are sooo adorable!

Ethan got a snowman hat.

Megan a pink one.

The boys each got a Pikachu hat (from Pokemon).  Austen was supposed to get an Axew hat (his favourite character from Pokemon) but the lady who crocheted it for us couldn't get the Axew done before Christmas so he got a Pikachu one as well.

Such adorable kids!  All dressed in their new Pjs they got the day before. And their new slippers.

Here a few more fun pics...

Super Mickey pjs with a cape!

A cash register for Ethan.

A mighty machines DVD for Mason.

Guinness Book of World Records for Austen.

Pokemon cards for Austen and Mason.

Cookware for Megan and a new scarf for Ian.

Pokemon cards!

And a minnow trap (I think?) for Austen the fishing fanatic.

A firefighter costume for our little firefighter.

A new tool bench!

A chemistry lab!  Experiments galore.

Chocolate lab for Miss Meg.

We had a super "romantic" (haha) candlelit Christmas dinner with just the 6 of us.

The candles are baby food jars that are spray painted with numbers on them.  They were in our advent calendar and we used them to count down the days to Christmas.  We were able to light them all on Christmas Day!  All 25!

A wonderful Christmas Day!

Next, Boxing Day at my parents' house!
