Random

Another random post.

Austen in sick again...third time this month.  Wow.  That's a lot.

We've been in the pool twice already!  It's blue, beautiful, and oh so cold (for me, not the kids, of course).

This is where you'll find me :).

The other day I as dressing Ethan in his pjs.
Ethan points to this photo that hangs outside our bathroom upstairs.

Ethan (2):  "That's yours Oma and Opa.  Uh huh.  They drive a baby car. Uh huh.  Opa sits in the front and Oma sits in the back.  Uh huh.  They do groceries.  Yes.  At Home Depot."

Such a cutie.  Funny thing is that he's born on my Opa's birthday so that's pretty special.

Megan danced at her stepdancing recital last week.  Here she is practicing before we leave.

Everyone who sees Ethan especially cashiers, ask if Ethan just had the chickenpox.  Um, no. Mosquitoes love him!  These pictures don't even show him at his worst.  It's awful.  His arms are covered!  We keep applying bugspray...no deet, little bit of deet, more deet...whatever....the bugs don't care.  They love him.

I remember my mom used to tell me there were no onions (I hated oninions) in our supper when we were kids.  Ther most definitely WERE onions (I could see them!). There was no fooling us.

I thought about that this morning as I, once again, tried to fool Austen (the pickiest eater).  He only wants the syrup that's the stuff that is mostly sugar and has no maple syrup in it whatsoever. The last little while, I've been pouring real maple syrup in the other bottle and he loves it.  Yet he won't eat the pure maple syrup from the other bottle.

We all vow we aren't going to do what our parents did to us....hahaha....

We have this sound machine which I recently found again.  Ethan loves it and laughs his head off when the burping sound is pressed (mostly by him).  He thinks it's the funniest thing ever.

So Mason was playing with it last night.  He pressed the thumbs down button and pronounced: "they have a cavamal button on here!"
"What?"
"A cavamal button!"

Oohhhhh...."ca va mal"....as in when he's in French class and the teacher asks the students to put their thumbs up or down after they ask how they are!
Thumbs down = ca va mal!

Three boys who love tractors.  Check out their John Deere shirts!

Many days are spent with these two boys.  They tie up everything that can be pulled, untie, retie, tie more, and tow it.

I had to buy Ian more ratchet sets that have now been put up high out of reach.

Austen has discovered Pokemon.

My sister's wedding invitation came in the other day. Aren't they a beautiful couple?

Petra and Andrew went shopping for their wedding rings the other day too and she sent me a picture of the ring.
Mason happened to be standing next to me as I was checking my email.
Me:"Look, Mason, that's Aunt Pet's wedding ring."
Mason (5): "What?!?! There's been a weddin' already???"

Also, we saw Andrew's (Petra's fiancé) photo on Facebook the other day.

Have a great weekend!
