The best potty training experience EVER!!

After potty training 3 children, I had no desire to potty train my littlest monkey early.  His siblings were all late potty trainers (especially the one with the strongest will aka Third) and after that experience I was thinking that as long as he was potty trained before Junior Kindergarten I wasn't going to stress it.  Well, let me just say that this monkey has surprised his mama a lot.

He defies all odds.

He is so different and so much his own little mr. personality.

Mr. Personality has decided to potty train himself.

I don't know if seeing his siblings using the "potty" has triggered this or seeing his little friend Mr.Boo (who hangs out with us at daycare) pee on the potty and get a treat.  It could also be the fact that he wants to be big like his siblings.  I don't know but I am thankful for his independence.

He just decided that one day he was going to pee on the potty.  My reluctance in getting the diaper off and waiting in the bathroom for who knows how long was all the more reason for his determination.  I finally "gave in" and he went pee!

Since then, he's been peeing on the potty regularly!

The last 2 weeks he has also pooped on the potty every day but one!

He usually poops before bath time so it's been more of a routine for him.

I find that the more reluctant I am, the more determined he is!  I should have tried this out long ago!  Everyone knows that the more you say no to a child, the more they want to do it.

I believe it's called reverse psychology.

So, there's my advice, people.  Use reverse psychology when potty training your child.  Hey, it might work!

Here he is telling me to come see his poop.

Here he is studying it.

Here he is yelling "BYE BYE POOOPPPPP!!!!!"
