Megan helped me make 70-something medals. Simply, I took chocolate coins and added ribbon. I left the ones gold for the gold medal since the chocolate coins are gold covered already. For the silver medals, I wrapped them in aluminum foil. For the bronze I cut out brown circles from construction paper and taped them onto the coins.
The kids loved them and loved that they were edible. Also, each child got a ton of medals. I think it's important to award the kids lots of medals instead of none if they didn't "win". Especially at such a young age. It's all about fun anyway.
They loved taking turns stepping up on our podium. They each got some medals in gold, silver, and bronze.
Also, they were awarded chocolate Hershey kisses for their country's performance in the Sochi Olympics. I had gold wrapped almond chocolate kisses for gold, silver milk chocolate Hershey kisses for silver, and blue and white Hershey's cookies and cream kisses for bronze.
It was an awesome closing ceremony. I started off taking photos of each event and each division however, after half an hour, it got a bit much so we sped things up a little and didn't take the final few photos.
Anyhow, here are some of them!
PS I created a stage complete with curtains for the kids awhile ago since they love putting on plays and dressing up. More pics of the stage at the end of this post.

The minis loved loved loved every second of their Kindercare Olympic experience! Thank you for all the hard work and planning that you put into making each day special for them.
