May long weekend

This past weekend was spent outside. Though the weather wasn't perfect, it was still nice enough to spend outdoors.

We planted the vegetable garden (finally).

The kids "helped".

 

They helped carry manure.

 

PS What you can't see (cropped out) is a certain 6 year old peeing against the tree...he did his own little "photo-bomb".

The toddler helped "pat things down with his feet after the seeds were in".

 

Everyone must be present at all times to partake in every single part of the planting process.

Studying the rows of seeds...perfectly straight?

 

Of course, ice cream had to be a part of the long weekend...a good reward for a lot of hard work.
