Our days...and Father's Day

Do you see him?

We have Family Fun Night every Friday night.  Sometimes it's a movie night.  Last Friday was games night. We tried to play Cranium with the kids even though the box says age 8 and up but it worked out so well!  We adapted a few questions but for the most part they did great!  And we had so much fun!  They loved it and had never played it before!
Highly recommend it!

I got this idea on Pinterest for Father's Day.
Ian loved it.
And he especially loved that Ethan's holding the marker.  It looks like Ethan was the one who drew on the kids' feet!  (He actually wouldn't sit still unless I gave him something to play with)

The picture close up - so cute!

Such cute cards!  (Mason is definitely our least likely to sit down and colour/craft)

Austen REALLY wanted to make cookies for Daddy for Father's Day

Megan's card/book for Daddy

Happy Birthday Miss Idalee!

Yes, the splash pad in our church clothes...who cares!

A Father's Day treat

We drove past this on our way to church yesterday.

Ian said this is the perfect example of a point he was trying to make at work.
His philosophy on education is that focus should be on the unwritten curriculum (not JUST literacy, arts, etc,).  We should create students that have, above all else, good learning skills so that they will want to learn and they will know that it's important for them to learn, not for anyone else or another reward of any sort.

Clearly, this is a case where literacy has succeeded...they just don't care!

Hot tub in the living room is now a ball pit...before it gets torn out!
